Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert paid a man to conceal sexual misconduct while the man was a student at the high school where Hastert taught, a federal law enforcement official told NBC News on Friday.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity. Tribune newspapers reported earlier in the day that two unnamed federal officials said that Hastert paid a man from his past to conceal sexual misconduct.
Hastert was indicted Thursday on charges that he structured bank withdrawals to avoid federal reporting requirements and later lied about it to the FBI.
The indictment said that Hastert was paying an unidentified person from his past to conceal Hastert's "prior misconduct." The indictment did not specify the alleged misconduct or name the person.
The Yorkville, Illinois, school district where Hastert taught and coached wrestling from 1965 to 1981 said that it had "no knowledge of Mr. Hastert's alleged misconduct, nor has any individual contacted the District to report any such misconduct."

Usually, if there is one, there are more.
Somebody who got involved in Hastert's kind of trouble may have learned the hard way to keep his hands to himself (at least when the cameras are around).
He also doesn't seem like what most people think of when they hear the word "gay" or "homosexual."

Anyone who doesn’t think that Boner and McTurtle haven’t been mailed copies of photos of them with live boys or dead girls is living in a dream world.

Roberts did pro bono pro LGBT equality work on at least one case IIRC while working at a big DC firm back in the 90s and his (I think) cousin with whom he has a close relationship is an out lesbian. Take that for whatever you think it’s worth. Personally, I think Roberts could be a 6th vote in favor of marriage equality if the case hit the Court tomorrow, if for no other reason than he wants to be on the right side of history on this social issue and he (like Kennedy) can see what history is ultimately going to say re gay rights.
Robert’s rewriting of the law and claiming that the law was the will of the People when at the time of his ruling the abommination couldn’t have passed is the true scandle. The SCOTUS now has NO moral authority.
Word had it that Roberts’ original opinion struck 0bamacare down. Very strong word on that, so Pelosi knew something.

Yep, as I predicted yesterday, less than 24 hours later we are hearing the story. Hastert is a homosexual pervert. Okay, homosexuals are by definition perverts. Shouldn’t be a statute of limitations for this so maybe next is charge, conviction, and execution. That would be far more satisfying to hear than him going to jail for ignoring money handling rules and lying to the FBI.
only a perverted criminal liar qualifies to be Speaker of the House. I suppose that could apply to the Senate Majority Leader as well. As far as the rest in DC, we all know most are liars at the very least.
