Multiple rescue boats ferried 18 young men back to shore early Friday from a houseboat set adrift by a severe storm. Shortly before 1 a.m., strong winds ripped part of a dock away from Sandy Creek Marina on Lake Travis. The broken section of dock, as well as the houseboat and another boat, remained attached by service cables, but floated farther into the lake.

Hold mu beer! Yee haw! Let's party on the lake in the middle of a flood!
They didn’t have a stripper?
Coming soon.

Great to see you
Just how did the “idiots” from LA put rescuers at risk? This wasn’t a fast water rescue, it was a friggin’ lake. They ferried the drunkards to the beach.
That said, I don’t know if you know what a “pop-up” thunderstorm is, but an hour ago, I was working on my lawn machine under a shade tree. Thirty minutes ago, I was blown back into the house by heavy wind, rain and lightning. The sun is now back out, the road is steaming, and it’s too damned muggy to work....time fer a beer.
It’s definitely the pop-up time of year here.
Pop up thunderstorm? Hahahaha! Priceless. Were you shocked at how fast Katrina popped up with no warning? We’d been warned since last weekend to expect more flooding Thursday and sure enough. Don’t know how anyone from South Texas straight up through Oklahoma could turn on the tv or radio or their cells and not know big storms with 60 mph winds were tracking west to east. Modern day radar gave out times the storms and flood waters hit your neighborhood so there isn’t room for many excuses. More rain is on the way. Lake Travis rose 25 feet this week but go ahead and party hardy.
Hi great to hear from you tonight.
Prayers are with you always and from so many.
+1
Well Hi to you too, or did you intend to ping someone else?
Well, they should have. Glad to see you are back at it. Prayers continuing.
And louder.
Definitely louder. ;)
