A tad off topic, but I am going to a wedding late next month in Charlestown, MD. We have only driven thru MD on our way to MA. I will be driving alone from Asheville, NC. Will I hit any scary spots? The news from out of Baltimore is horrifying!

Any of the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC (Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties) are dangerous at night, especially as the weather gets warmer. Similar warnings extend to the cities and environs of Baltimore and Annapolis. Gas up and drive carefully.

Just avoid urban ghettos and you’ll be fine.

Drive on the major highways and drive during the day. Don’t get off the highway for gas or food in sketchy areas.
