Nah; I’ll just do more plowing tomorrow and spit more diesel hydrocarbons into the air, but tonight I will just throw another log in the fireplace, it’s still colder than a well diggers wazoo up here.

Kind of like California, huh.
Except you have a few politicians that aren’t complete idiots, like all of ours are.

This week the news data was that all the rain we have received this MONTH would cover the state 8 deep.
I think you mean inches. If so, big deal. I can wade through that.
Another story says that we could give every person in the world an 8oz glass of water.
If we don't do it, shame on us. Shame on us.

No way! Fuel costs money!
However, that big ol’ pile of tires in the back forty... burning them is FREE. Can’t wait for the next Erf Day Bonfire! :-)

What I do know is Stevie Ray wrote about it a long time ago Vaughan adopted the song, which was composed by Larry Davis, (and a trumpeter named Joe Scott) written in '55, first released(?) in 1958. It had been something of a blues standard, long before Vaughan's version was a big hit.

For the rest of the country the Washington Post offers graphics visualizing the astounding amount of water unlesshed in Texas.

Yes, Ma’am! Folks here don’t realize that there’s solid limestone 6 inches down and no place for the water to go after the first inch of rain.

The flooding is on about a 20 year cycle. Back in the mid ‘70s Southeast Texas saw snow in the winter and flooding in the late spring/early summer.
Then again in the ‘90s.
Now in 2015. Go figure.

As I recall, there was massive flooding of the Liberty river that caused serious problems in the flat lands around Houston. This in spite of a large dammed lake up stream built to prevent just such an occurrence.

BS.
Been happening for thousands of years.
How do you think all those ravines were created? Flash Floods.
How come nobody says anything about the dearth of hurricanes over the past several years?

The “predictions” that I have heard from a lot of the AGW crowd are actually postdictions, where one claims to have foreknowledge after the fact.
To: BlueDragon
Oh. Of course. And an even better point
I should have looked that up. I know several was not a songwriter.
