Three fatal shootings in Baltimore on Sunday bring May's homicide count to 43, making it the most violent month in more than 40 years.
Police say two men were fatally shot in the head about 1 a.m. About 11 a.m., a man was fatally shot in the back.

The 15-20 block area around the inner harbor, the economic tourisry area was surrounded by police cruisers and uniformed as well as plainclothed police. It was safe and they made it that way to keep the tourists feeling safe. If you went a block or two out of the police cordon, you knew it. When we would go down there for business, I paid top dollar for valet parking so I didn’t need to go past the protective umbrella.
The inner-harbor was the first target of the rioters and they surrounded the parking lots and the streets outside the stadium like sharks waiting for prey. There were some police there but they were told to stand down and the rioters attacked the white people in the outside restaurants, some of whom fought back.
They have that enormous police force because they need it. The thin blue line is the only thing standing in the way of a return to hookers in the streets, open air drug markets and full fledged gang warfare, which is what they have now. The mob used to keep parts of B-more safe but they’ve been diminished to only a few blocks and protecting their own businesses.
I had posted a thread here some time ago in which I promised to continue to chronicle the shooting deaths in Chicago but ever carreis through on it...

Detroit has been pretty quiet all through Ferguson and now Baltimore. They’ve had a few minor protests but the police chief is solid and doesn’t allow them “room to destroy”.
I just spent the last 3 days watching racing on Belle Isle. If it hadn’t been down pouring almost all weekend I might have considered going over there. They went all out for the racing.
