Why are many of the cops all fat bastards with their bellies hanging over their belts. Their silly crew cut haircuts make them look like circus acts. Do they ever have to pass a PT test? Or do their bullets and cars go fast enough to catch most criminals.

I am not fan of outlaw biker gangs. But this just seems ridiculous.

My guess is that for many of them this is not their first tour in the county jail. I would also guess a fair number of them are going to be told by their lawyers to suck it up and get their day in court.

I don’t think there is a lot of trouble for these guys in the jail.

They were looking forward to a day of fun with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts when they unwittingly ran afoul of the law, local police, deputies and federal officers hell bent on rounding up “thugs.” English is a Marine veteran of two tours of duty in Iraq. A nine-year veteran worker at Valmont, he and 160 fellow employees were recently laid off. His severance pay has been terminated because he hasn’t been able to check in since his arrest, according to his attorney.

Some guys who own a vintage bike shop in Austin also arrived late and were arrested. Three guys (the lower bond guys who had to turn themselves back in) were arrested across town who weren't at Twin Peaks were arrested and lumped in with the Twin Peaks case. At least one of them has been put on suspension at work and no telling how many others have lost their jobs and soon their homes because of this.

It makes the police sound like sh!t for brains idiots, because they staged this event in a public place where the vast majority of people were motorcyclists and restaurant customers who had nothing to do with crime of any sort.

Not following this closely, so can’t speak to it, but as a general rule of thumb instead of worrying about your bond being reduced, here’s an idea, don’t get involved in a biker gang in the first place.

I rode for years, never a 1% but knew who they were and made damn sure that I wasn’t in the same locale as they were EVER. For the record, I don’t hang out where gangbangers congregate either.

Entrapment is illegal.

When they show that the cop provoked the fight, and that the other cops were set up, outside with scopes on the target, they will lose the battle.

As I have said in previous posts, I am not in favor of biker gangs. Especially outlaw gangs. But, as a life long MC rider I can tell you that if you are not bothering these guys, they leave “civilians” alone. Shooting up a parking lot in a suburban area is not their MO. It is very rare that their stuff flows into the arena of public view.

I actually believe that signing a no suit clause is a condition of a lot of releases. I cannot put my finger on a source, but I have heard this sometime in the past.
