Why Is America Moving Left
Breitbart.com ^ | June 1, 2015 | Thomas D. Williams, PH.D

Statistics from the most recent Gallup poll indicate that Americans’ moral views have become increasingly liberal over the past 14 years, with U.S. citizens tending to approve of behavior they would have deemed immoral or sinful just a generation ago.

If there’s one thing people of all ideologies and political affiliations can live without, it’s chin-strokers taking Gallup polls and divining the innermost thoughts of 320 million persons in a vast nation.

A PhD should be the among the first to look for sampling error, especially from a nakedly leftist outfit like Gallup.

A PhD should know that using a poll as the basis for reaching conclusions about a large population is akin to juicing an orange, concentrating the juice, freezing it, thawing it, and adding water to make orange juice. It undoubtedly loses something in each phase of the operation.

Even if the polls are deadly accurate, the one thing media types, writers, etc. will never answer is: WHY DO I CARE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK, ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE AMORAL, ATHEISTIC, UNETHICAL, COWARDLY, AND HERDLIKE?

My eternal response to ‘ABC% of Americans agree with XYZ’ is: so what? Have you seen XYZ% of Americans at a restaurant? A supermarket? A cinema? A sporting event? There are some seriously dense, lazy, ignorant people out there. Worse, they seem to regard being dense, lazy and/or ignorant as virtues. Because, y’know, we, like, shouldn’t judge them and stuff. And their numbers are growing, especially among the young who have been mainlining pure uncut Marxism thanks to our so-called educators.

It’s still sinful and immoral and it’s being foisted on us by the government run schools.

In Canada, the country moved left when it thought it could dip financially into the future to pay for present expenses and we moved right when we ran out of money.

It’s probably the same thing in the States. People falsely believe that the country can borrow from the future and are wanting to spend that money now.

Because the GOPe has absolutely FAILED.

It has caved to Obama and the Democrats left and right, so why should people have any faith that anything but leftist ideology will prevail?

Do Muslims in US vote liberal or conservative?

Democrat. Their political and theological beliefs are no where near the same, but for now the democrats are their useful idiots. The democrats are the ones stupid enough to protect and promote them into powerful positions that they can use to their jihadist advantage.

Unsurprisingly, the leftward shift in Americans’ moral views has been matched by a corresponding loss of religiosity. A recent Pew Center study on religion in the United States found that despite America’s reputation as one of the more religious countries in the world, it has experienced a notable dip in religiosity in the past seven years.

When we eliminated God from the equation of American life ... (what did we expect?)

My guess? Because they make people feel better about themselves, and/or they're brainless. It doesn't take any concentrated effort to watch them.

I’m just going to go out on a limb and point to the liberals in TV, music and movies portraying everything as “the new normal”.

They don't know any other way - just like the muslims in the middle east. We gave them freedom, and they had no idea what to do with it or how to keep it.

1) Thu Publik Skool Sisstem
2) Twitter and Facebook, hearding the sheep, browbeating those who step out of line and express an independent thought, while allowing 12 activists to appear to speak for millions.
3) General economic malaise leading young people to give-up on the country, the culture, and the economic system.
4) Churches dropping the ball on keeping morality front and center (Protestant churches embracing gay marriage, the Pope elevating global warming above abortion as an issue. Jerry Falwell died, who stepped-up to fill his shoes? Nobody.)
5) Importing tons of immigrants who are bringing Socialist values from back home with them.
6) Tyrants in black robes who seem to delight in usurping a new role as social architects.

1/2 of all Americans receive some kind of means-tested benefit from the US Government. Also among the 151,014,000 who received benefits from one or more government programs during that period: 49,901,000 who collected Social Security; 49,073,000 who got food stamps; 46,440,000 on Medicare; 23,228,000 in the Women, Infants and Children program, 20,223,000 getting Supplemental Security Income;13,433,000 who lived in public or subsidized rental housing; 5,098,000 who got unemployment; 3,178,000 who got veterans’ benefits; and 364,000 who got railroad retirement benefits.

Of course Americans will love socialism. We’ve grown this beast for 2 generations - by the 3rd, all Americans will be as docile as deer.

How is this all funded? By monetized government debt, fiat money and fake interest rates - all passed through government crony hands for their first cut and support.

Want to kill socialism in America? Give American real money again and kill the Federal Reserve.

3) General economic malaise leading young people to give-up on the country, the culture, and the economic system.

That's what happened in the old Soviet Union before it's collapse. The government even promoted the immorality of liberalism, because it kept the people distracted from their poverty.

“They don’t know any other way”
Could that not be said about Americans who, after 4 generations of socialist indoctrination, are willing to accept what any of the founding fathers would fight to the death?
