Walkers cool thing is obviously referring to the ability to see ultrasound images of not-yet-born children, including his own. But numerous sites, including the Huffington Post, New York magazine, Mother Jones, Jezebel, and Talking Points Memo declared that Walker had referred to mandatory or forced ultrasounds as a cool thing out there.
Sorry, that *is* kind of what he said. If he didn't mean it that way, then he needs to be more precise with his language.
Thank you for showing the thread that this same tactic is used on FR.
Actually, I see him only saying that ultrasounds are cool, and I don't see the HuffPo, Mother Jones, etc., spin on it even implied.
I can't see any problem with forcing abortionists to show women the high-quality ultrasounds that they routinely take of the babies. Based on what I have read about the abortion process, abortionists routinely perform ultrasounds prior to snuffing the baby--they want to know the position and size of the baby before they dismember it. The only thing is that there needs to be some independent oversight. Too often, abortionists show women grainy unfocused ultrasounds to convince them that there is nothing but a featureless mass being aborted--there has to be a mechanism to force them to show the real ultrasound.
Note bene that you’re agreeing with radical baby murderers and profiteers of said murder. Not a very FR thing to do aka not a cool thing.
