Was the IRS breach unstoppable?
Computerworld ^ | June 3, 2015 | Ira Winkler and Araceli Treu Gomes

Another hack, another claim of inevitability. It is frustrating to read about the IRS breach and see it declared sophisticated. The following quote, from the IRS commissioner to CNN, is just outright infuriating:

“It was an attack the agency wasn't well suited to combat, IRS Commissioner Koskinen said. ‘We're dealing with criminals with a lot of money and using expensive equipment and hiring a lot of smart people.’”

This is an interesting article on the recent IRS data breach in which at least $50 million and over 100,000 taxpayer identities were stolen.

The attack was not sophisticated or high tech. The article shows that at best the IRS was incompetent and negligent. It seems very possible that this was an inside job with government employees and insiders aiding and abetting the theft.

The part that isn’t being told is that the higher ups at the IRS are most likely involved and have received their cut already deposited into their numbered accounts in the Grand Cayman’s.

I work in IT and hold two of the highest industry certifications in security and networking.

Yes, as a general rule, most government security is very weak and is not very professionally managed.

My money says the crooks are the management, loyal fascist democrats, who wants to bet that the hacked records were tea party conservative.

1985 came and went but corruption simply secured a stronger foothold.

Government hides behind its bigness. That’s their regular excuse. The solution? Cut them down.

The IRS, of course, has limited funds, two Commodore 64 computers and no smart people. They were defenseless.

Same thing happened in Cook County many moons ago. Some insiders with heavy connects created a corp called Cook County Collector and stole checks from the Collector of Cook County. People were supposed to put the name of the Collector on it. They bad guys paid a bounty to the cashiers. Nobody went to jail and it took years for the crime to be discovered.

‘We’re dealing with criminals with a lot of money and using expensive equipment and hiring a lot of smart people.’

I guess it’s hard to get smart people to work for the government.

No, he mentioned it.

If this is possible what are the odds that Hillary’s e-mails are with untold numbers of hackers? The odds are 100% that Hillary’s e-mails are already in the hands of at least a half dozen governments.

No. Probably not. It’s an inside job and somebody high up probably piggy backed on top and received files on political opponents.

Other news today indicate that another hack happened, this time Government employee database.

Perfect for strong arming tactics used by progressives.

By covering up the failure to do due diligence the Commissioner exposes his culpability in the fraud. Check bank accounts.
