A school is a tax supported institution. If they want to make a political statement, they can do it on their own dime. Would a Muslim calling for beheadings on his tee shirt be protected speech?

That would be “hate speech” as it calls for a specific action. If he had one that said “free Palestine” it wouldn’t.
“If they want to make a political statement, they can do it on their own dime.”
They didn’t use any taxpayer money for this.
