Witnesses: Semi-automatic gunfire dominated biker shootout in Waco
AP via Ft Worth Star Telegram ^

First came a few pistol shots, several witnesses said, then a barrage of rifle fire during the shootout last month at a Waco restaurant favored by bikers. But authorities still have not said how many of the dead and wounded were the result of police fire.

Police have identified only one assault weapon, a semi-automatic gun that fires high-powered ammunition, among the firearms confiscated from bikers, and that was found in a locked car after the shooting ended.

The stupid press once again unable to distinguish between “semiautomatic” and “automatic” fire. Maybe if the idiots went to the range a few times in their lives they might be able write a coherent paragraph on the topic of guns.

“I heard, ‘pop, pop,' small caliber, and then a rapid succession of shots from what sounded to me like an assault rifle,” said William English, a former Marine and Iraq war veteran who was approaching the front door of the Twin Peaks restaurant for a meeting of biker clubs."

He probably has more expertise regarding the sound an AR makes than the average New York Times reporter.

LA, Dorner manhunt.

One of the two innocent civilians’ trucks shot up that day.

Ended with the police burning down someone’s cabin with Dorner in it.

“Witnesses: Semi-automatic gunfire dominated biker shootout in Waco”

Indeed. Because only police have semi-automatic firearms; no doubt the bikers were only using single-shot muzzle loaders.

I read somewhere here that the bikers only had decorative pen knives given to them by their grandfathers ...

“sounded to me like an assault rifle”

hmmm. Wonder what sound an assault rifle makes. California missed that one when they defined assault rifles.

Pleeeze.

That picture shows nothing.

Suggest you have something that passes beyond reasonable doubt before you post it as some sort of proof.

Not everything is a cop conspiracy.

Well, the article did say the police only found one assault weapon, locked in a car, afterwards.

Do you have other info?

And what kind of biker comes in a car? Are they sure it belonged to a Bandido, or just some guy with a rifle in his trunk?

There was a picture of the scene at Waco with a person wearing an ATF “jacket”. Could have been a vest. So, yes I would say at least one ATF individual was there.

"Jennifer Cicolani of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives noted that a semi-automatic gun can shoot more bullets in less time than a small-caliber weapon."

Huh?

They may have only found one “assault” weapon, but how many semi-automatic handguns were found on the bikers?

The term “semi-auto” would apply to most of the pistols and rifles involved.
