My mother (RIP) worked at a CVS. She was at a store where a woman stood near the door with a basket full of stuff looking out in the parking lot. Mom asked her if she needed help and she replied no. Seconds later, a car pulled up, she ran out and dove head-first into the car with the stuff and they sped off.

We have a new grocery store with a small restaurant upstairs looking out over the store. Mr. M and I were sitting there one day when we saw a woman examining the produce. She would pick up a bunch of grapes, both white and red, pick one off to eat, and then put it back. She did this several times with time in between. She then went over to the banana section and examined several bunches. She finally pulled one off of a bunch and put it in her cart. I told Mr. M that she was going to steal it. He didn’t believe me since she was such a sweet old lady. But we watched and sure enough, after walking around the produce section for another ten minutes or so, she slipped the banana into her purse and went out of the store with her cart. The cart had nothing in it but her purse. Poor lady must have been starving. I’m guessing the staff at the store knew about her and let her pilfer.
