How many people here believe that you could film Blazing Saddles today..?
I can think of very many other examples, some much more recent.

Blazing Saddles? Hell, you could not even make The Bob Newhart Show today. All of the advocacy groups for various mental illnesses would be jumping right down your throat.

Now think about it. Blazing Saddles was all about putting down white people. I think it would go over real well today, except for the Nagger word.

re: Blazing Saddles
One of the funniest scenes is when Mel Brooks in Indian Chief get up rides to the top of the ridge, sees the negro railroad track crew and says, “Ugh, schvartzers”.
That scene was cut from the DVD and dropped into the memory hole.
