Heck, Obama’s dinghy, “The Moochelle” is bigger and costs a lot more to operate.

I think I recognize that boat. We used to see it in Panama on occasion.

Seven million is a bit much for a rag bigger of that size but if it is maxed out with desalination, big screen, etc. it could go that high. I have seen boats I liked better for less. I knew a guy picked up a 50 foot Buddy Davis for $375K once. She was a beauty.

The classic craft is now available for charter with rates beginning at $45,000 per week. Kerry and his ketchup heiress wife, Theresa Heinz, certainly don’t need the money. However, the senator did catch flack for dodging a big tax bill on the boat by mooring her in Newport, R.I. In any case, the 75-foot Isabel, a stylish sloop designed by Ted Fontaine and built in New Zealand by Friendship, is well worth an excursion.

The pilothouse of the yacht features a wet bar and wine storage. The Edwardian-style interior is finished in glossy varnished teak. The Isabel can accommodate four guests in two VIP main staterooms with en-suite baths. Tenders and toys include a 13.5-foot Zodiac.

Onboard systems feature everything from satellite communications to Wifi. Meanwhile Kerry did manage to grab some R&R onboard recently. He was spotted tolling around St. Barth’s in the wake of Roman Abramovich’s big New Year’s bash on the posh isle, though the Isabel was dwarfed by the oligarch’s 550-foot megayacht Eclipse.

Not only does Rubio have no concept of conservatism, he has a really pathetic sense of style. I can see this being owned my an old retired couple.

That little boat could not possibly be Kerry's 75 foot sailboat. Why do they have a picture of that? Now the inside pictures looks like they could be taken on a 75 foot yacht. I wonder why they are not showing the outside of his yacht?

The truth is it is a beautiful blow boat and all I know about boats is they are expensive. That being said it is a seven million dollar yacht, I am a bit underwhelmed. I would have thought it would be larger. Perhaps it is the pictures.

Rubio’s boat is a bathtub compared to Lurch’s floating mansion ...

Rubio’s boat would fit into Kerry's bathtub ...

[It’s a pretty boat.

But it’s not swift.]

Good dig and reminder.

OK—I do not begrudge him his yacht. Let him have fun. I am a capitalist and if I had the money I would have such a boat. I do not begrudge him moving it to save money on taxes—I would do the same. BUT I would never march to Obama’s Commands! If Kerry was president—I know he would be better than Obama—by twice. If he had his way he wouldn’t give away the store to Iran.

We build yachts and he got a good deal on that boat. We are currently finishing a $9 million dollar boat. The materials and equipment in those things is what really drives the price up.

7 million is very plausible for a 75 footer, if it's built and maintained to the top standards, such as a Hinckley, Oyster, Swan etc.

I could build a terrific 75 footer for under a million easy, but it would not have that Rolls-Royce/Jaguar finish.
