He went in hot, I will agree. However, his conduct while performing his duties wasn’t anything to be ashamed of, imo.
Is he a White Hispanic?
Three cops, a ton of punk kids, I disagree with the chief.
But who cares now? The chief is his boss, and somehow this is how the narrative has gone.
Good luck being a cop in that town now, chief. You've bought yourself more than a boatload of trouble. And I'll be not too sympathetic.
Dann. I was hoping the police chief simply had issued a statement saying the officer’s actions were under review and that any outside agitators and protestor would not be tolerated.
Casebolt is the latest sacrifice to the mob.
Years from now, the only thing I’ll remember about this is how this clown did a Ninja barrel roll when getting ready to attack those kids.
I thought it was Officer Tackelberry from Police Academy when I first saw it. You know his shoulder still hurts too......
1- Where is the police union? Why are they not defending Casebolt?
2- Can you imagine being in the cop’s position of trying to bring order to that madhouse of screaming, trash-talking berserk kids running in every direction? It has to be an incredibly frustrating, and potentially dangerous situation. Make a single mistake and you can lose your job and be labeled a racist. Now he is thrown under the bus with no one to defend him. That has to have an negative impact on the other cops in that department.
I think they told him to resign or be fired. I think this has nothing to do with his performance, and everything to do with their own cowardice at facing politically correct complainants.
His "resigning" makes their life easier, and that's what I think this is all about.
Out of control? An exaggeration.
The “chief” must be reading FR for his crib notes...
When I’m against the cops, they get away with it. When I’m on the cops’ side, they resign. This cop handled the situation well as far as I’m concerned. What would the PC chief be saying if the cop had been jumped by the two thugs and put in the hospital?
No wonder he quit. Way to back up your men, “chief”. Wonder what the other cops on that force think?
Public pressure ... he had to say that. Otherwise we would be seeing riots.
