LA City Council Adopts Minimum Wage Ordinance (cheapskates go only as high as $15/hour)

Agree. If we are going to create money out of thin air, why be stingy?

“We are already seeing the fruits of our labor as our own state and other cities nationwide begin exploring policies to increase their local minimum wage,” said L.A. City Council President Herb Wesson.

Just think about how much whining that same person will make over future budgets when employee costs go through the roof.

The minimum wage issue is sweeping the country so could it be that the minimum wage issue has really nothing to do with compassion for the wage earner as the politicians all espouse but more aptly to replace the tax revenue from the 93 million Americans who are now unemployed?

So the unemployment rate in California is 0.8% higher than the national average, they have an emergency drought situation and they decide to artificially increase the cost of labor. I guess that makes sense if you’re a Californian.
