I guess we have to disagree then; when someone has given as much for conservative principles, as indicated by his public speeches and voting record during his entire career (A: 96% according to CR, by whichever metric you choose one of the top two conservative senators in our lifetime) then you have to trust them through times of uncertainty, to not do so is being fickle. Politics is politics, they have to be deceptive to their enemies, and some times they will do things that don’t make sense to us, but we are not privy to what goes on behind closed doors or their motivations. If someone votes the conservative position, and sponsors bill after bill to restore limited government, as Lee, Cruz, and even Paul have done, then I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

That is sincerely my hope. All this chattering is disconcerting, coupled with the fact that Ted has not spoken about this enough to layout how this is not a vote to give obama more power

I hear you and I truly love the guy. I haven’t really liked a candidate like this in, well, like, forever :)

What do you make of the fact that Lee is voting against the bill but Ted isn’t?

Without more information, I don’t know what to make of it. It would be nice if they were a bit more public about the rationale behind their votes on contentious bills like this.
