I imagine Lee and Peter Cushing are having a bloody good reunion right now. Probably with some fine brandy and a couple of excellent cigars.

Christopher Lee allowed death to win this time, because his lightsaber talents were needed in the afterlife.
RIP Sir Lee

What a shame. Loved him in everything I’ve seen him in.
RIP!

He also read the LoTR Trilogy more than 25 times. Read through every year. He not only KNEW Tolkien...but he REALLY knew his mythology.

In a “Two Towers” commentary, Brad Dourif (Grima Wormtongue) explained how Christopher Lee taught him how to die on screen, based on Lee’s own experience in actually knifing Nazis in World War II.

He was a classically trained actor (all serious British actors had to learn and do Shakespeare first in their professional training before moving on to other types of acting). Most big-name British actors come with classical training and are incredibly versatile, and they wind up acting circles around many of our celebrities.
Case in point: if you watch Raiders of the Lost Ark, you remember the performances of Denholm Elliot, Ronald Lacey, and John Rys-Davies much more than the bland monotone of Harrison Ford, who's just there to look handsome and not do much else.
You see this even more in B-movies when someone like Christopher Lee or Donald Pleasence was cast opposite B-list actors.

He made a great villain in the 1981 Chuck Norris flick “An Eye for an Eye”.

RIP, Christopher Lee. I very much enjoyed his body of work, and, at 93-years-old, he had a very good run indeed.
Hang onto those autographed Saruman cards.

I didn’t know that was him in LOR. Wow! No wonder why the performance was so good. A great role to go out on. RIP

William Shatner was a Shakesperian actor. Everyone should go to the Stratford Festival in Ontario at least once in their lifetime. After that, you usually go back.

Wow, I still have some Famous Monsters of Filmland mags and some rarer ones like Monster Mania and Castle of Frankentein.
I saw Christopher Lee guest star in an Avengers (Diana Rigg era) episode and he even made that into an impact part.

RIP. I'm not sure I'll ever forgive Peter Jackson for leaving Christopher Lee's scenes on the cutting room floor. Or for not giving us The Scouring Of The Shire with Lee in the villainous role.
But oh, for the late nights watching the Hammer films on the tube!
To: Jonty30
Another one bites the dust. Guy was in so many good to excellent shows I watched growing up. RIP!

They are reprinting all those mags. If you have issues 1,2,or 3 of the original Famous Monsters in Fine condition or better you could get up to 500 bucks apiece for them.
