I bet they’re smart enough to stay out of Baltimore and Ferguson.
Yea that is because they will rake in millions from food stamp fraud. They let people buy junk with their cards.
Aldi offers foods at prices that undercut Walmart, and its owner is a staunch German conservative. What’s not to like?
Finally I'll get the ten choices I've been begging for all these years.
Aldi is where my wife and I shopped while we were stuck in West Virginia. Now that we survived that and are back in Colorado, we’re really hoping they make it here someday soon! Aldi was pretty much the only GOOD thing about WV. Lol.
Who doesnt like horsemeat?

YUM!
My local Aldi has good prices, good quality on most items.
Sirloin steaks $5.99 ($7.99 at competitors)
Milk 2.29
Eggs 0.90/doz
Fresh fruits and veggie prices are usually less than competitors.
Some of their packaged brands I don’t really care for.
I go there about 2-to-1 over other stores. Walmart recently opened a Market grocery a few blocks from me. I go there for convenience — and their deli pork ribs.
Prices like 1985....love the place.
I buy probably 3/4 of my food at Aldi and the rest on loss-leader specials at the “regular” groceries. They don’t make much money on me!
Aldi is often MUCH cheaper. Everything they sell, just about, is house brands. Quality varies, but is usually at least the equal of house brands at other stores.
For instance, Doritos are $3 to $4 per bag. The house brand at Aldi is $1.19 and is at least equal in quality.
Some of their stuff is really good. The intermittently have a four-flavor assortment of hummus that is exceptional.
Business is great for Aldis and Dollar Stores. Who says the economy is stagnant?
I really like Aldi. Bring your own bags, pay a quarter for the cart and get it back when you are done, and incredible prices.
Slightly different brand names, but the quality is good.
Its an invasion I tell ya!!!
Discount grocers do a big business in poor areas like mine. They are always packed with customers. I like to shop there for normally expensive products such as paper products, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies. Leaves me some money to splurge.
The best jalapeno potato chips in the world. I open the bag and can’t stop until they are gone or my wife takes them away from me.
A lot of people swear by Aldi’s. Originally very German. You could get good cutlery and bratwurst at low prices. They used to be known for these and also the generic foods in the white and black packaging back in the early 80’s.
Real black forest smoked ham, knockwurst, smoked sausages, braunschweiger, all imported from Germany.
For me, what’s not to like about Aldi’s?
Always our first stop when grocery shopping is Aldi. What we can’t get at Aldi, we get from another grocer, but 80% comes from Aldi.
I can’t think of anything I’ve been disappointed in (caveat...we do not buy our meat there, we buy our meat online, and their produce used to be so-so, but it’s now pretty decent.)
Also their “stuff” (non grocery items) sells for unbelievably low prices. We bought sturdy trash bins for our patio and paid $35, saw them later at Walmart for $60 and online at Amazon for close to $80. I’ve noticed their ads are including more “stuff” along with the groceries.
A Trader Joe’s just opened up in our town, we’ve had Aldis for several years. I believe they’re owned by the same family, but there are different divisions of the company. We took a stroll through Trader Joe’s, and we much prefer Aldi.
My very favorite. Ordered a box right before Christmas, and I am down to the last two bars.
San Antonio would be a tough market for them to come into. HEB is king here and has chased other national chains away, much poorer.
Aldi owns Trader Joes......We bought some great French wine in the Aldi in Copenhagen!!!
