In theory PTA offers US trade advantages, in practice it never happens.

“In theory PTA offers US trade advantages, in practice it never happens.”

That is always the case when theory collides with reality.

This is the same tired argument they always use to stick another odious trade agreement on us. The end result never changes. Additional trade deficits, loss of American jobs, factories leaving the USA and an influx of questionable products from other countries.

These trade agreements always benefit the weakest member to the detriment of the strongest.

If Ted Cruz is looking to shore up his conservative support teaming with Paul Ryan is a poor idea.

As usual you have hit the nail on the head. While I am a free trade kind of old guy it is evident that our leaders negotiate as well as they enforce borders.

The data is clear. These agreements result in lower GDP, lower wages, higher trade deficits and vast increases in legal and illegal immigrants.
