You don’t have to be black to be a leader in the NAACP. The NAACP came out and said as much the same day the news came out. She wasn’t forced to step down (at least not officially).

Funny thing is (depending on your sense of humor) no one anywhere is going to hire her except maybe as a moderately upscale hooker, and even that won’t last long.
I believe that the criteria for leadership has been support for confrontation between the races, rather than particular ethnic makeup. But I will admit that I have never actually seen or examined the key documents.
I don’t know what a fake hate crime is or could be since I don’t know what a real hate crime is. Maybe I’m naive, I think she just happened to identify with Black folks and was sincere in her desire to lead her local chapter. No more, no less.

Well, in one instance, she claimed she was mailed some threatening, racist hate mail. Problem was, the mail had no postage or postmark and the post office had no record of delivering it. It just magically appeared in the mailbox that she had the only key to. There were several suspicious incidents like that. I think in one instance, the security cameras were turned off right before the “hate crime” happened, so there was no video footage of the “perp”, and of course, she had access to the security camera system as well.
I suppose she could still have been committing those fake crimes, and in her own mind, thought she was “helping the cause”. Sincere but misguided maybe.
Yeah, I didn't mean to harm anyone either when I assumed a false identity (viz. stole someone's Social Security number), obtained (but did not repay) student loans using someone else's name (thus ruining their credit score), and applied for and got funding (grants, scholarships) based upon a fictitious military history and modified racial background.
