I suspect the obvious; that Trump is simply a stalking horse for Christie

Trump on Taxes “I would impose a one-time, 14.25% tax on individuals and trusts with a net worth over $10 million,”

No. A "one time" tax would become an annual tax, and the result would be the very rich fleeing the country or restructuring their assets to avoid the tax. The result would be breaking up small businesses between $10M and $50M, big enough to have to pay the tax but too small to survive or dodge the tax. The result would be more productive people going Galt, and leaving no one behind who knows how to create jobs.

Don't look at what he says now when he wants your vote. Look at his history.

1) “I probably identify more as Democrat.” —Interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, March 2004

2) “I’ve been around for a long time. And it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans.” —Interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, March 2004

3) “Nancy — you’re the best. Congrats. Donald.” —Handwritten note to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, January 2007

4) “Bush is probably the worst president in the history of the United States.” —Interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, March 2007

5) “I’m totally pro-choice.” —Interview with Fox News Sunday, October 1999

6) “I want to see the abortion issue removed from politics. I believe it is a personal decision that should be left to the women and their doctors.” —Remarks to reporters, December 1999

7) “I’m very liberal when it comes to health care. I believe in universal health care.” —Interview with CNN’s Larry King, October 1999.

8) “The Canadian plan also helps Canadians live longer and healthier than Americans… We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan.” —Writing in his book, The America We Deserve, January 2000

9) “By imposing a one-time 14.25 percent net-worth tax on the richest individuals and trusts, we can put America on sound financial footing for the next century.” —Writing in his book, The America We Deserve, January 2000

10) “I think he [Obama] has a chance to go down as a great president.” —Interview with NY1, November 2008

Trump’s donation history shows Democratic favoritism

He has given money to what looks like a Republican enemies list, including Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Charles Rangel, Charles Schumer, Edward Kennedy, the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee of New York. He donated $10,400 to Harry Reid, including for his 2010 battle with Sharron Angle, the GOP nominee and tea party favorite. He has also been pro abortion. You're free to call all this what you'd like. I call it liberal.

Trump must be doing something right if the Club for Growth wants to keep him out of the debates.

I note that the pundits seem to have a list of Republicans who "don't deserve" to be in the debates.

I get the feeling that the plan is for Jeb to be on stage alone, kind of mumbling to himself in Spanish while the media pretends to swoon and say Hillary is surely in trouble now.

No, he is not. Perot was a third party candidate. Trump is a Republican.

Why not? Putin would exclude him from the debates, just as the two socialist political parties here or the old Soviet Union would do the same.

You are right - he is just talking the talk and it means nothing in the long run. How many times has he declared bankruptcy? And he wants to run the country???

I don’t know, he might liven up the Democrat debates. Oh? He’s running as a Conservative? What a laugh.

You spelled RINO wrong.

That is my greatest fear.

I am afraid he is in it to make sure he has enough cred to go independent to deny the POTUS to a real conservative. Or another Bush.

Can't blame him for the other Bush.
