Todd Rutherford, a South Carolina state legislator and a friend of one of the victims, spoke out on CNN this afternoon about how “the rhetoric in South Carolina, the rhetoric nationwide, has led people to believe… that it’s okay to walk into a church and take nine lives.”
Rutherford spoke to Jake Tapper about the Charleston church shooting and the death of his friend Reverend Clementa Pinckney.

He forgot to mention racists like himself, Jesse Jackson, and tax-cheat Al Sharpton, plus the Black Panthers, plus President Obama who fuels the fire of racism, and others, that incite people. Rather than working together as one to recognize the abilities of those of all races, it is black leaders who continue to stir the racism pot. Whites are as distressed as blacks over this senseless shooting and we all pour our hearts out to that community.
