How about if she tells us all about that, Jeb.
Pretty much.
Politicians. The things they say sound so great and noble.
The things they do never resemble the things they say.
Standing by her would’ve been being gutsy and sending the police in there to put her somewhere where she was given a chance at survival. He didn’t take the risk when it mattered. Sorry, Jeb, you can’t put lipstick on that pig of a decision.
Exactly
When a battle over a constitutional crisis was required. The Scientologists won that one and killed the "nonproductive eater."
I was reminded of Terry today upon receiving a letter from an acquaintance whose mother had just died at 95. He said she had a strong will to live, enduring 8 days without food or water. But she was "kept comfrtable."
A nation (thanx to Glenn Beck) was backing THAT move
He stood with Hillary Clinton.
Thank you for your post at #15
Thank you for being there and protesting against this sanctioned torture and murder.
Also thanks for the background info. It is good to understand the forces Governor Bush was up against and his difficult position. I don't support his decision to let forces of darkness carry the day, but I have a better appreciation for the opposition he faced.
Stood so he could fall flat on his face when it mattered. Same as what he’d do for America.
Yep. He should be saying how sorry he is for not having the constitutional back bone to save her.
How really stupid is Jeb Bush, to remind us of one of his most tragic failures? And how really stupid does he think we are.... to not know that we know that the only way he stood by Terri was to stand by while she was “”legally”” murdered by a rogue, Scientologist, death-cult judge and a soul-less spouse.
Which seriously begs yet another question. If Jeb Bush is this dumb, how stupid would Americans be to want him as the next president?
“I stood on the side of Terri Schiavo,”
I thought he stood on the sideline and allowed her to die of dehydration.
Sorry Jeb, but if you didn’t use your powers to protect Terri we surly don’t want you. Then you have to face the fact the God almighty might not want you either.
you have no right or authority to make that ridiculous judgenment
He allowed children with water bottles to be arrested.
I know its too easy to bluster as anonymous posters, but in principle, I would have gone for the confrontation. The law of the confrontation was debatable, IIRC, and would have been better fought out *after* the confrontation, with Terri still alive. Would a confrontation put other lives at risk? Yes, but letting this go to the point of Terri dying has arguably put many, many more lives at risk.
BTW, interesting point you made about the role of a scientology ritual. Can you elaborate? And do you have sources?
Peace,
SR
Where did I make it a judgment? I am just leaving it to God. The deed is done. Do you not agree on that?
