I've made the trip to the back gate of Area 51. The road from the town of Rachel takes about 15 miles: much of it is gravel, but the last couple of miles are paved...freaky!
BTW, the "Little Ale'in Inn" in Rachel serves great chili.

Sounds good. I’d like to go just for the laughs. And some chili sounds good.
What is that NatGeo show, “Chasing Aliens” or something like that? A cure for insomnia. They got close to one of the gates and an SUV with all kinds of gear was watching them (not the vehicle of course!).
I’m sure they’re used to all kinds of people showing up out there.

And I was told that the actual site is 51 miles from the main entrance to the area, thus it is called “Area 51.” Don’t tell any body, but the Roswell UFO is buried under DIA building at Bolling Air Force Base.
