Charleston killer Dylann Roof apparently left a ranting, racist manifesto on the internet calling for a new civil war in America before staging his massacre in a church.
A website hosting the document, seemingly written by Roof, 21, not long before the killings at the Emanuel AME Church emerged Saturday, and said he had 'no choice' but to carry out the massacre.
On the site, he pinpoints Charleston, South Carolina, as his target because of its high proportion of blacks, bemoans that there is 'no real KKK' to help him, and claims he has 'no choice' but to act.
The site also contained a cache of images of Roof burning the America flag, spitting on it, posing next to Confederate landmarks and standing menacingly with a gun pointed at the camera.
Roof's 2,500-word rant begins with saying he was not raised racist, but realized after his own efforts that 'drastic action' was necessary to stop the U.S. being taken over by minorities.
He also embarks on a bizarre digression on other races, where he dubs East Asians 'allies', calls Hispanics 'a huge problem' and says he wishes all Jews would turn blue for a day so people would realize they are different to whites.
In the text, which he implies was written not long before the killings, he declares: 'N****rs are stupid and violent.... Black people view everything through a racial lense [sic].'

Yes, it is a terrible scandal that this KKK nonsense is allowed on FR.
Comments promoting racism are specifically against FR policy as you may notice every time you post because the form has a warning on it.
If you see overt racism promotion on FR please report it. It will be removed. Accounts can be suspended as well.

It would require a full time job to report all the nasty racist comments posted on FR. It really is a shame. Some are obviously trolls, but there are quite a few tools also.

I realize it is impractical to ask you to address every comment, but you can help a little. Try to report cases when you see them and have time. Especially do this when it is flagrant. If we all do our share, the issue will get addressed.
Moderators will remove overtly racist comments when reported, and those who persist in posting racist comments will have their accounts deactivated.
My opinion is that these comments are mostly coming from trolls who walk a fine line to avoid being kicked off of the forum.
