He went against them though, so to my thinking he sided with his constituents against the Evil Empire of Orangeness. I don’t blame him for voting for Boehner because at the time the rest of them looked so incompetent that Pelosi would end up running things anyway, gavel or no gavel.

Thing is I’m glad the House Freedom Caucus has come about, because right now it looks like Boehner is playing whack-a-mole with new talent instead of bringing them along.

If Perry is willing to vote his district and actually do his job as a representative, that makes him a rare find IMO.

These conservatives are risking their careers to stand up to the GOPe. They do deserve respect for that.

They deserve not only our RESPECT, but our SUPPORT. Give them some accolades and support their efforts to LISTEN to the PEOPLE. Those who support their constituency should be rewarded or we will never defeat the Republican Establishment.
BOEHNER should be HUNG OUT TO DRY and McConnell as well. WHERE is the OUTRAGE at these leaders being DISCIPLINED and REMOVED FROM LEADERSHIP POSITIONS by the Establishment?

We here in VA-7 showed you how to fix this. Throw the weasel like Eric Cantor out and elect your own Dave Brat.
He has stuck to his word and is voting as his constituents want him to.

“Yet, Republican leaders, increasingly governing by fear, risk continuing dissension and disarray. Evidence is building that Republicans, who are failing to persuade those members with differing opinions, and catering to monied interests in Washington, are alienating Americans who voted for them. “

Ya think?

DITTO!!!

He did so because he could get away with it, the evil junk passed anyway.

Voting twice for Boehner to lead and having Boehner in the district for a fundraiser during his first term speak loudly to me that Perry is still the same insider Republican I knew when Scott was younger and in the local GOP apparatus.

“They are incapable of doing what their real constituents want. All they know how to do is scheme, appease, lie, equivocate and pander. They are simpering cowards.”

NO GUTS. NO HONOR. NO INTEGRITY.

Thanks to all of those idiots that fall for the “Lesser of Two Evils” mentality.

Well if that is so, a way to flush them out would be to get rid of Boehner (hopefully at the district level) and see where the chips fall.

The Fast-Track is down to the Senate Democrats, it stinks but there it is.

I want to find out what Obama has on Boehner, and release it to the world. Can’t we get one of the foreign governments that has all our emails to let us in on it?

Actually I’d like the dirt on the dirt gatherers to be released to the world. The Congress critters currently voting against their districts should be retired quietly, not for their sake but for the sake of the country.

There is no Virtue possible when it is not habituated and modeled in childhood. We have “adults” who have been programmed and made to fear going against the masses (operant conditioning in our indoctrination centers (public school).

Without Virtue, there is no Courage to speak against pop culture. Marxists took over the schools in the 30s and have had total control by the 70s to destroy the ability of a Christian Worldview from forming with Situational Ethics and “Sex Ed” to destroy normal sexual identity formation-—only a tribal, collective mind (emotions rule Reason) is the result of operant conditioning. Fear is embedded if you go against authority figures (pop culture). Alienation, demonization will occur if you DARE state Truth. (Truth is more hated than Lies (Machiavelli).

Cognitive Dissonance makes Emotions rule Reason-—they are unable to be Virtuous because concepts embedded in early childhood take over the Mind-—without Wisdom and Knowledge which is only imparted by Classical Education/with the Bible-—and it comes from WITHIN the person (autonomy, reflection) and can’t be given from the outside (public institutions) where reflection and Reason is impossible.)

People who never have the virtue of self-intitiave developed-—are incapable of thinking for themselves (outside the box).

I wonder what George Washington would say about what passes for courage these days.

Perry had Boehner in the district for a fundraiser a few years ago as well.

Oh, I remember that very well, and gave him hell about it then too.

However, his Conservative voting record since then has been pretty good, but he did let himself get bought off with that subcommittee chairmanship. And I like his staff, which has been very responsive to some things I've had to deal with, like aggressive Census workers invading my yard trying to force me to answer their asinine questions.

These conservatives are risking their careers to stand up to the GOPe. They do deserve respect for that.

If they really stood up they would form a caucus and withdraw from the Republican Party. If there are enough men of principle they could force the GOPe into a minority party status unless they come to the Caucus hat in hand.

This won't happen because there aren't enough men of principle in these offices.

We are way past due for a Party that represents the citizen tax payer it is now or never time.
