That’s a complete misrepresentation of what was said. Rove clearly limited his comments to gun violence and just as clearly reducing gun violence could result in an increase in violence without guns.

Which were baseless in fact. 'Getting rid of guns' would work no better than getting rid of illegal drugs; it would INCREASE gun violence.
