Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley suggested Sunday that Congress had fallen under the sway of "white racism" and the political force of the National Rifle Assn. in refusing to respond with new laws to a cascade of shooting incidents in recent years..
Speaking before the nation’s mayors, gathered in San Francisco, O’Malley pointed to gun restrictions passed when he was governor of Maryland to ban assault weapons, enforce background checks and tighten permitting procedures -- efforts that have been blocked at the national level by Republicans, and some Democrats, in Congress.
"One of the sad triumphs of white racism is the degree to which it has succeeded in subconsciously convincing so many of us, black and white, that somehow black lives don’t matter," he said. "If the thousands of young men killed by gun violence every year across America were young, poor and white -- rather than young, poor and black -- it is hard to imagine that our Congress would continue to block common-sense measures to keep guns out of the hands of criminals."

How ironic as modern "gun control" began as a means of keeping the recently freed black man down.
1 Peter 3:15. One of my favorite. Ever notice NONE of the libs can defend a bit of it. Fer sure not “global warming”, but even anything else they are so passionate about. Income inequality. You name it. Ask one if you can stand it. Deer in the headlights. Two words is their limit. Once they have said those two words they are done. Global warming. Economic injustice. White privilege. See if it ain’t so. Ask one, so what do you mean by that? Just how does that work? They can’t tell you. Crickets. I am serious. I used to ask them, “so tell me about greenhouse gasses”. They can’t even understand what they have such passion for. They literally can not name more than one but they talk about greenhouse gasses and it never even occurs to them it is plural. That would take more than two words and two is the limit. I wish it was a joke but I ain’t joking. Try it if you can stand it. I can’t anymore.
I saw an interview with some blacks that were cleaning up the streets in Baltimore that said they wished they could legally own a gun because they were basically locking themselves in after sundown and hiding in their homes. One man said he had never been arrested and didn’t think it was fair he had to live in fear every night. He worked in the “war zone†and couldn’t wait to get his family home and as secure as possible at night. O’malley may not realize it but his target audience is realizing there is a need to be armed, the criminal always is.
With polling numbers in single digits on issues like integrity, trust, etc DC politicians would do well to stop and wonder just why we resist civilian disarmament so vehemently. If they seriously just want our nation to be a better place they might consider working on those numbers a little as a priority. Maybe then, not promising, mind you, but maybe, just maybe we would take them a little more seriously when they come up with this flaky crap.

Now hold on just a darn minute. Hillary first said it was Donald Trump’s fault. Then Hillary said “white privilege” was to blame. Now O’Malley says it’s the fault of the NRA or maybe “white racism” after all. Next thing you know, Bernie Sanders will be blaming too many brands of deodorant and tennis shoes. I wish these bozos would make up their minds.

O’Malley came out of the closet as a Marxist. Now he’s reverse racist, a self-hating white liberal/leftist/clown/Marxist (choose one or all). Maybe he should marry that creep Dolazel in Spokane so that they could have white/black/green/red/pinko babies just to show the world that they are not racists ( nor very smart either).
Just imagine, two con-jobs marrying each other, vying for the public eye, and sounding like blithering idiots all the while.
It would make for a great TV show, “Ebony and Ivory in Spokane”.
Maryland got suckered by O’Malley and his Democratic machine but finally woke up just in time (I hope). Now they have to get rid of his legacy, that fool Blakely mayor of Baltimore, and the little race political pimp DA Mosby.
Then, and only then, would Baltimore and Maryland have a chance to come back from the Marxist cesspool that they helped create since the 1960’s. (I was there, saw what was happening, and fled for my life. Glad I did. My kids had a chance to get something of an education though the libs in Arlington County Va. did their best to destroy young minds eager to learn the basics of thought).
O’Malley is like Bernie Sanders, a Marxist boil on the backside of humanity. Lance his political career and he will seep away like the infected pus-head he is).

The N.R.A., for instance, was founded in part to defend the right of the newly-freed Negroes to bear arms, that they could use to defend themselves against Klansmen.
Their ideological descendants will stop at nothing to see them, and US, disarmed.
And here I thought it was the cops who were responsible for all the violence.

Because of the supra-official status of the Klan in Southern life, the laws concerning the carrying and the shooting off of weapons of death are loosely drawn. Williams decided to take advantage of this contradiction. He wrote away to the National Rifle Association in Washington, D.C. for a rifle club charter. He explained that he was a Marine veteran and had organized a group of ex-service men committed to the active preservation of their own, and their country’s freedom. This is true, of course, in every respect. The charter was sent with alacrity as it always is to any group making such a request, and no one would have given it a second thought if it had been a group of Southern white men.
I don’t suppose that the Rifle Association has received one protest from pacifist, or any other humanitarian groups, in all its years of existence over its encouragement of veterans, to take up arms again and fire them off regularly at the symbolic foe represented by the official targets. But a very curious thing happens, even to liberals, at the thought of a black man having arms in his possession. Their deep and pervading sense of racial guilt suggests to them, fearfully, that the black man has an accumulated moral justification to use them, and probably will.
When it became known that Williams had received such a charter, and had already organized and was thus about to legitimately arm a group of Negro veterans, the white liberals who had supported him as a poet, rejected him as a warrior and ran for cover. There were some few notable exceptions to this, and the police harassment these real patriots underwent, is nearly incredible. All the prophetical qualities the white liberals recognized in Williams, went whirling over the dam of their own racist fears; they practiced, unconsciously, the same sort of denial of basic rights for which they held the White Citizens Council and the Klan in such contempt. This form of national sickness was diagnosed long ago, in 1852, by the greatest of all pacifists and non-resistants, William Lloyd Garrison, in a review of Uncle Tom’s Cabin in the Liberator of March 26th, that year.
“We are curious to know whether Mrs. Stowe is a believer in the duty of non-resistance for the white man, under all possible outrage and peril, as well as for the black man: whether she is for self-defense on her own part, or that of her husband, or friends or country in case of malignant assault, or whether she impartially disarms all mankind in the name of Christ, be the suffering and danger what it may. That all the slaves of the South ought, if smitten on the one cheek, to turn the other also, to repudiate all carnal weapons, wait for a peaceful deliverance and abstain from all insurrectionary movements is everywhere taken for granted, because THE VICTIMS ARE BLACK. They cannot be animated by a Christian spirit and yet return blow for blow, or conspire for the destruction of their oppressors. They are required by the Bible to put away wrath, to suffer all conceivable outrage without resistance. None of their advocates may seek to inspire them to imitate the example of the Greeks, the Poles, the Hungarians, our revolutionary fathers, for such teaching would evince a most unchristian and bloodthirsty disposition. How is this to be reconciled? Is there one law of submission and non-resistance for the black man, and another law of rebellion and conflict for the white man?”
Williams understood, as Garrison before him, that to disarm the Negro in the face of the enemies’ outrage and assault is simple racism, unless the same pious advocate calls for the disarmament of every group and government in the world in the face of every conceivable threat to their existence and practice simple non-resistance to coercive forms in every phase of his own daily life.
It was sad for Williams and everyone else involved, I assume, to come to the end of the pleasant integrated relationships of the Unitarian Fellowship, but the saddest note struck here is when the 50 or 60 black men of Monroe who made up the Rifle Club, gazed at the backs of the retreating white liberals and realized that they did not need them anymore.

As America’s youngest civil rights organization, the Deacons received support from America’s oldest civil rights organization—the NRA, which, like the Deacons, was dedicated to training Americans in the responsible exercise of constitutional rights. At the time, the NRA was the authorized public representative of the U.S. Army’s Civilian Marksmanship Program, and could sell army surplus ammunition at discounts to NRA members.
So the Deacons for Defense—as NRA members—bought ammunition in bulk, and distributed it for free to individual members. It’s little wonder, though, that the NRA was the Deacons’ arsenal. For most of the 20th century, the NRA shooting range in Washington, D.C., had been one of the few public accommodations in the city that was not racially segregated. Virtually alone among the sporting organizations of the late 19th and early 20th century, the NRA had always remained open to members of all races.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a losing issue nationally. It’s about pandering to the Democrat base. He has to run to the left of Hillary. Since Hillary wants to ban anyone with “hate in their heart” from buying a gun, he has to come up with something more extreme. Like banning white people from owning guns, and maybe outlawing the NRA.
