Good grief - they are playing right into the hands of the narrative.
The Confederates were DEMOCRATS. Abraham Lincoln was a REPUBLICAN. The Ku Klux Klan was full of DEMOCRATS.
The narrative has now been completely twisted to have Republicans having to call for the removal of a classic symbol of Democrat rule and having to apologize for it. Good grief.

When it comes to race issues, the Republicans are the descendants of Booker T. Washington, the Democrats the descendants of W.E.B. DuBois. As far as the LSM is concerned, there is only one side to the race issue, the DuBois side; everyone else is either racist or Uncle Tom. And I'll bet today's salary that 80% of the LSM couldn't tell you who either men was anyway.
That might have been true years ago but since the 60s and 70s more-or-less it has been Republicans. Times change and today there are virtually no Democrats flying or defending the Confederate flag.
Well neither of the Parties are those Parties anymore. To say either of them is like what was labeled Dim or Republican all those decades, centuries, ago is pretty meaningless.
