You are RIGHT!! My apologies. I stand corrected: I am just assuming that the reason so very many FReepers have never even weighed in on the Waco charade is because they are thinking the same thing I thought for two weeks: "Well, it's pretty obvious what happened, a bunch of stupid bikers in a shootout at a biker hangout got what they deserved from the cops, what more is there to say? I'm going to join a discussion where something that actually matters is being discussed," such as the GOP nominee, the insidious progress of the homosexual agenda, or ISIS.

There are so many, many FReepers I have held in high regard for years and looked to for better insight on issues of the day, who are simply ABSENT on threads discussing the Waco event's clear and present dangerous abuse of the Constitution.

WHY are they absent from such a truly critical and important national story? This was a very large-scale SUCCESSFUL abuse of power that has resulted in severe harm, permanent damage, to the personal lives of very probably at least 150 people in the same demographic that rode on Washington DC in numbers 800,000 to more than a million strong in 2013.

“WHY are they absent from such a truly critical and important national story?”

Because they don’t want to be associated with a few conspiracy nuts.

Well I don't participate in groupthink, so I will only speak for myself.

I wasn't there, and I choose to wait for both sides to present evidence in a court of law before going off and taking sides.

I am enjoying the discussion, and I do have substantial experience with many motorcyclists, including hard core 1%ers. I also happen to know several cops, lawyers, and judges.

To me, this is about trying the case in court, not the media. I remember the Richard Jewel (sp?) situation very well.

“WHY are they absent from such a truly critical and important national story?”

Maybe because they don’t feel like hanging around threads filled with paranoid conspiracy theories that don’t make much sense?

Nah, couldn’t be that. They must be in on the conspiracy!!!!
