Calling it a "contemporary symbol of divisiveness and racism," eBay said Tuesday that it will ban the sale of Confederate flags and similarly themed merchandise.
"This decision is consistent with our long-standing policy that prohibits items that promote or glorify hatred, violence and racial intolerance," said eBay spokeswoman Johnna Hoff.
The e-commerce company is the latest to prohibit the sale of Confederate merchandise following Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Sears Holdings Corp.

No, they won't. From their Facebook page:
We are currently sold out of Confederate Battle flags and will not sell them in the foreseeable future. We have sold this historic flag for 57 years, but in recent days it has drawn intense criticism and served to divide our country. We feel that we do not need to contribute to this division, and encourage all Americans to come together under the Stars and Stripes of our nations flag as we approach our countrys birthday on July 4th.
Will the Confederate flag become a symbol of ‘resistance’ for the 21st Century?
I read it and I don’t remembr anything like that.
Definitely remember her other children.
As pf 7:34 AM, 6/24 (EDT), Amazon has 2,321 listings for Confederate Battle Flag (but with a quick look, it appears that the actual flags have been removed).
Flag Stuff has two flags.
Flags of America have 5 listings.
....Or maybe getting ready for the revolt that is coming rather?
Wow, we are creating quite a “black” market for the Confederate battle flag, aren’t they???
“symbol of slavery???” Says who???
Based upon what data??? Or is it based upon what some else said, that a lot of people are just picking up on, just because it was said, and trumpeted many times since then...
I heard years ago that if you repeat a lie often enough people tend to gravitate and believe that lie as the truth...
Now before everyone gets their collective panties in a wad, thinking Steve is a racist bastage, and should be convicted of a hate crime, know this...
Have you met my wife???
No???
Ok, then I guess I must introduce you to the former Ms. Morales, of Pasadena, Texas...
I did that to a scumbag liberal democrat lawyer here in town at a function we attended, the guy called me a racist [expletive deleted], and my wife overheard it...
She introduced herself and the [expletive deleted] lawyer type pretty much could suck the shell off an egg after that dose of reality...
Lesson here, do not disrespect a latina’s man in front of her if she doesn’t know you any better...Especially if you tell a lie in the process...
Bad bidness...
If I am a racist, then KFC deep fries rats...
But, it doesn’t make a difference if you have friends...you know....
Never wanted a Confederate flag — until now.

I remember this one from childhood
what a bizarre combo THAT one is!!
Did the moon bat shooter even own a confederate flag?
freedom lost
Slavery would have gone away. Instead, we got a homogeneous blob of states that when the master government sends a directive, everyone has to follow it. People can only with moderate success, vote with their feet. (Businesses leaving California, Michigan, etc)
You don’t want to fly a flag of a loser, but you fly the Gadsden flag? Irony
Flying the Rebel or Confederate or Gadsden flag to many of us is a sign of resistance. Rebellion against the way things have gone and are going.
I don’t care if you are a Northerner, Westerner, or Southerner. You can proudly fly either or both flags.
And other credit cards.
And other EBT cards.
Sad.
In that war, we all lost.
