is it just me, or does this movement to erase history that 21st century democRATS don't agree with remind anyone else of what Stalin did when erasing his vanquished adversaries from the history books and forbidding their names from being spoken. it's the EXACT same impulse to rewrite history on display in both cases. do you see it too?

Personally, I can't get too worked up about this. Ironically, Jefferson Davis was the 1850s / 1860s version of a modern Democrat — someone who was more than willing to put party and self-interest above country to the point of destroying the country. While he had a prominent and, in some cases, admirable career prior to the Civil War, I personally don't care whether or not he is honored, other than at this point, I don't want to see the Left Wing mob add another scalp to its belt.

The truth is that Jeff Davis’ stupidity regarding generals and the military probably was more significant in losing the Civil War as much as anything else.
His ridiculous trust in generals like Braxton Bragg lost him the west, and that lost the east.
If the South was destined to lose, the Jeff Davis was the agent of that loss.

It hard to believe how easily people are distracted!
This shooting had NOTHING to do with the confederacy ! This guy was pissed off about the WHITE GENOCIDES going on as we speak in South Africa and Rowanda.
