I am making it a point to fly the flag, display it on my person in the form of a lapel pin, etc. When anyone wants to take something away from this badly, it gives me reason to believe that it’s worth holding on to, not that I didn’t already support the flag as part of my history and heritage. The American flag will be next on the hit list, when this goes down.

Exactly what I was thinking.
Take away one freedom and another one will be targeted tomorrow.
It's never about one thing, every action the Left takes is always a step towards the next thing.
"All this for a damn flag?". No, it's not about the flag.
It's a war on every possible symbol and sign of what the Left does not like.

Banning and/or boycotts of the Confederate flag like this could be a gateway to banning the Stars and Stripes.
