Since I am a new resident of Alabama, and a former Texan, I think it is time for me to erect a couple new flag poles. Stars and Bars and the Lone Star. Maybe three and include the Alabama flag.
The wounds that are killing this country are spiritual, not political, not even race related per say. Rather than address that, the nation is engaging in window dressing.

It is my considered opinion that the state capital, and any other place in the state displaying the history of the state, should fly one of the flags of the Confederate States of America. It is part of our history. There was good and there was bad.

To leftists, the Confederate Battle Flag is a reminder of how bad racism really was, which allows us to assess how far we have really come on race matters in this country. Meanwhile, the Left is busy trying to convince the ignorant, both black AND white, that racism is as pervasive as it ever was. The Flag ought to stay as a reminder of how evil humans are capable of being, and a reminder of how far this benevolent country has come.
Of course the irony is that the left was to erase our national remembrance so they can replace it with their own revised history and propaganda . . . all for the purpose of foisting on us oppression every bit as evil as slavery.
