More than that. The most insanely vicious people in Hitler's forces were the Homosexuals. As a matter of fact, i've read where one of the high level Nazis insisted on having them because they do not hesitate to do very horrible things. They don't have normal empathy for the suffering of people.

You’ll certainly find a higher percentage of S&M practitioners in that demographic, although sadism comes in a lot of sizes and shapes, usually learned from parents or from an absence of parenting. It’s a result of dissociation from others (lack of empathy), a pathological need for control, childish revenge impulses and an indwelling sense of hatred of self.
