I doubt if any West European country understands the meaning of individual freedom.

When a West European country says that America does not stand for freedom anymore that means freedom for Blacks, gays, transgenders, euthanasia, etc....

The freed East European countries understand real freedom.

Many European countries are happy to throw common citizens into prison for making "hateful" remarks. We are not quite to that level yet, but not for lack of certain people i.e. libs for trying. Just on that score we are still far ahead of the Euros.

If you do not have freedom of speech i.e the right to tell the truth, what do you have?
