I suspect that Senator Lee took the fall that allowed Ted Cruz to change his vote on trade, but Cruz is still the best we have and Walker too. I think Jindal is sincere, but who can win?

When we're reduced to accepting "the best we have," it's probably time to look elsewhere. For over a century the framework of the GOP has been designed to "promote from within" an established hierarchy. The ONLY presidential nominees who weren't "preselected" by the hierarchy were Goldwater and Reagan. We're fooling ourselves if we believe that Bush, Gore, Bush, McCain and Romney weren't chosen long before the first vote was cast. Sarah Palin has her weaknesses, but she was astute enough four years ago to not enter a race that was rigged from the start.

Senators running for the nomination: Cruz, Rubio and Graham should have backed Senator Sessions from the jump, right along with all other self-described conservative senators, but they did not, not even Senator Lee!
