I would suggest we dissolve our system of government and start over, but theres no system that can protect us from the self-destruction of liberalism.
That’s OK. The country is going to dissolve itself. States outside of the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, rust belt and Pacific coast won’t stand for this. The south, Texas, and most of the Midwest and Mountain West are going to go there own way sooner or later. At least then we’ll have someplace to go.

The emotion foundation of this bad decision is seen in one sentence from the decision:
The reasons why marriage is a fundamental right became more clear and compelling from a full awareness and understanding of the hurt that resulted from laws barring interracial unions.

It would never get the votes required. The country is now majority leftist. Sorry, that’s the way it is. As such, rightists are enemies of the state

I was a journalist and hated mine. So I left. Life immediately improved.

You have to be kidding. Texas will go blue long before it "goes its own way".

Is that because the influx of Mexicans will change it’s politics? I’m not sure macho Latinos would go along with “los culeros” running things.

Roberts' dissent had one interesting paragraph:
"The majoritys decision imposing same sex marriage cannot, of course, create any such accommodations. The majority graciously suggests that religious believers may continue to advocate and teach their views of marriage. Ante, at 27. The First Amendment guarantees, however, the freedom to exercise religion. Ominously, that is not a word the majority uses."

Scalia is correct in suggesting that the Court is in real danger of having its decisions ignored by individuals and even entire states, through a process of what we might call "credibility attrition."
And of course, with a change in Presidents, the kneecapping of the Court's credibility could accelerate. It's too bad, because sometimes you actually need a Supreme Court. But not to write your laws or your grocery list or to name your children, or whatever other powers the Majority in this decision hopes to acquire.

What next? will the supreme Nine redesign the camel? so it can marry humans? does Hump Day have new meaning?
Just one more sad day for the nation, tho millions cheer..
a slap in the face of the one institution that made it possible for civilization to climb out of the bushes and mud.. create a more stable environment for the populace..
only to fall prey to selfish ‘different’ people who care not a wit over their final judgment.. or the havoc it will visit on all of us.

Another reason they want Andrew Jackson off the $20 bill.

Justice Scalia 'Smacks Down the Majority' in his Dissent... ripped into the court ruling....Scalia took no prisoners in castigating the majority.
"This is a naked judicial claim to legislativeindeed, super-legislativepower; a claim fundamentally at odds with our system of government. Except as limited by a constitutional prohibition agreed to by the People, the States are free to adopt whatever laws they like, even those that offend the esteemed Justices reasoned judgment. A system of government that makes the People subordinate to a committee of nine ***unelected*** lawyers does not deserve to be called a democracy."

Especially when there are Mormons and some radical liberals arguing for it, like the lesbian “throuple” in the UK, homosexual male trio in Thailand, and a California trio of two lesbians plus the guy they added, with an article gushing that each baby has both a Mommy and a Daddy plus another Mommy!
