I am a lawyer and I truly hate my profession. The High Court is a sad, outdated joke. To hell with what the states vote for. To hell with thousands of years of tradition. Fagdom owns the SCROTUS.
I was a journalist and hated mine. So I left. Life immediately improved.

Not so much the SCROTUS per se, but this became evident years ago with CA Prop 8. The American people have no further say in how to GOVERN OURSELVES. The great American experiment of self-governance is OVER, DEAD and BURIED as of today.

I am a lawyer too and I agree with your sentiment completely.
I’m sick at my stomach over this.
We now have legal marriage and Natural Marriage.
Obviously not necessarily the same thing.
Should we start signing up clients who want to marry their pets, parents, siblings, etc?
We should at least force these idiots to explain why one form of “discrimination” is proscribed by the 14th Amendment and other forms are not.
My favorite line in Scalia’s dissent:
“The Supreme Court of the United States has descended from the disciplined legal reasoning of John Marshall and Joseph Story to the mystical aphorisms of the fortune cookie.”
I also love that he called Kennedy’s opinion pretentious and egotistical. Haha
There shouldn’t be any lawyers on the supreme court. Only (real) constitutional scholars should be allowed to be appointed.
