There's a statue of Andrew Jackson across the street from the WH in the center of Lafayette Park (Why not Lafayette, I dunno) The liberals want to tear down the Jefferson Memorial, but the statue of Jackson is never mentioned....................

I haven't heard of any regular Cherokee tribe protests at that memorial. I guess they have "moved on."

It will be interesting to see if they rip out the pages of every book they sell about the battle of Gettysburg to eliminate references to the CSA....that is the next step.

This is America and we had a Civil War...the Civil War..

how many civil wars do the parks commemorate ???

Are there parks in America where the English Civil War played out ???

Maybe Cromwell had a battle or 2 on our soil ???

How about the Spanish Civil War ???

Is it odd to think that by just writing the Civil War the readers would not immediately know she means the one fought between April 1861 and April 1865 within the boundaries of continental United States ???

and the title of the article contains GETTYSBURG..

could that be mistaken for Gettysburg some other country ???

“Stand alone” Confederate flags are being pulled. So, unless it has BOTH flags - it’s gone. My husband introduced me to Gettysburg, and I expected to HATE it and be bored. But I fell in love, and my imagination was set free to contemplate what happened there. It is such a compelling place.

My husband was such an amazing tour guide, and without his incredible knowledge and reverence of the battles that took place there, I probably would never have seen the place with clear eyes. I wouldn’t have understood.

The last time we went was a year ago - and that will be the last time if this outrage is not reversed.
