Sarah was already pregnant before she got married. Her oldest’s son’s ex was pregnant before they got married and Bristol is on her second illegitimate pregnancy. I don’t like to call anyone’s child a “mistake” but Sarah’s children didn’t seem to learn that sex before marriage isn’t a good thing and this is one reason why. Marriage protects children.

Personal story, here. My wife's older brother got a girl pregnant and married her. Her older sister got pregnant and married the guy. My wife's parents were very conservative and dedicated Salvation Army people. This disturbed them, a lot. After my wife and I had been going out together for about 10 years, I finally got up the nerve to ask her parents for her hand. The first thing her Dad said to her was, "Are you pregnant?" She said , "no". He said, "Are you kidding?" She said, "no". The light from their faces lit up the room. They were happy, we were happy, and it didn't really take all that much to make that whole thing happen. Our 40th anniversary is this year.
