Ramadan Is Not a Time for Bloodshed (Barf!)

For most Muslims around the world, the month of Ramadan marks a yearly renewal, a time to turn inward in spiritual reflection, upward to God in worship, and outward toward other human beings in acts of charity. It is a time when many Muslims who do not offer the five required daily prayers or have much to do with religion for the rest of the year still refrain from food, drink, and sex during the daylight hours of an entire lunar month for the sake of God. Among the five pillars of Islam it is the fast of Ramadan, not the daily prayers, that is the most universally observed Muslim practice worldwide, behind only belief in God and the Prophet Muhammad. People fill mosques at night to offer extra prayers in congregation, and some even spend part or all of the last 10 days of Ramadan in a state of spiritual seclusion following the example of the Prophet. It is a month when many Muslims pay their yearly required alms (zakat) and when generosity reaches its peak in Muslim societies, especially through giving free break-fast meals (iftar) to the poor.

Wow liberals are self deluded. Ramadan is basically the official time for violence, it happens every year.

Perhaps this is one of those portions of Shari’ah law much more honored in the breach than in in the compliance. There seems to be little or no constraint on the part of really fervently militant Islamic jihadists to abide by this restriction, as they seem to have proceeded unabated during this “cease-fire” period of their definition.

Those of us who are non-Muslim need pay no attention to their capricious application of Ramadan either. Kind of like the validity of “gun-free” zones, where nobody is supposed to be carrying guns, but turn out to be shooting fish in a barrel, or simply target practice zones.

Oh and while I’m here tell all those camels that the Muslims slaughter violently in the street to celebrate their “religion of peace” that Ramadan isn’t a time for bloodshed.

Liberals are always trying to define religion for other people even though they have no faith themselves.

Ramadan Is Not a Time for Bloodshed

Every day of the year is the time for Muslims to shed the blood of Infidels who will not pay protection money or convert to Islam.
