Albuquerque police say a Domino's delivery driver shot an armed man who attempted to rob him in the restaurant's parking lot in the North Valley late Sunday.
Police responded to the scene near Menaul and 12th around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Officers received reports of a robbery in progress and shots being fired in the area.

The first national pizza chain that openly gives support to their drivers defending themselves, will reap a windfall of business by second amendment supporters all across the country.
I think Domino’s has a policy about their drivers carrying guns so he might not be long for his job. It is too bad that the perp is not room temp. It would have saved the city money in court costs and future court costs.
For me, the driver is a hero and should be treated as such especially in ABQ.
The court system is so screwed up in New Mexico that the perp will be bonded out and back on the streets as soon as he's out of the hospital. To make matters worse, the Democrat-controlled state supreme court recently said that setting bail to make sure these repeat offenders stay in jail is wrong, and it should be set only for ensuring appearance in court. This and the absence of a speedy trial for serial offenders ensures they are back on the street to perform more mayhem.
Better judged by 12 than carried out by 6.
I thought Cheech Marin was doing OK for himself. He had to sink to robbing pizza delivery drivers? You think the residuals on Cheech and Chong movies would have been enough.
I have no doubt he will be back on street they all end up back on the street. The scum that shot the Rio Rancho police officer is a fine example.
Pizza drivers need to have some one riding “Shotgun”, literally.
