So this is what this ruling means in plain English:
Today the polls open for voting. You walk into your polling place and give them your name and street address.
At this point they MUST separate you into one of two lines.
1. If you registered to vote using the federal registration form (where you did not have to prove your citizenship) you may go to the voting booths where you can vote ONLY for federal candidates.
The state registration form requires proof of citizenship.
2. If you registered to vote using the state registration form (where you had to prove your citizenship) you may go to the voting booths where you can vote for federal, state, and local candidates.
Won’t that be a blast at the polls when a voter is DENIED their rights to vote for a state and local candidate because of HOW they registered!?
