“We chose the holiday, not to put a damper on celebrations of America’s independence, but because it is the best way to do a nationwide study of the effects of fireworks on air quality,” said Dian Seidel, a senior scientist at NOAA’s Air Resources Laboratory in College Park, Maryland and the study’s lead author. “These results will help improve air quality predictions, which currently don’t account for fireworks as a source of air pollution.”

I wonder if this bunch of morons considered doing a study on the effects of Canadian wildfires on US air quality?

We have had better than two days of gray skies, limited visibility, and definite smoke in the air from forest fires in British Columbia, hundreds of miles away.

Right. Liberals breathing our air is a far greater problem than any fireworks display. All liberals should hold their breath for 10 minutes on the eve of the 4th, to offset the pollution we are causing with out celebrations.
