Actually I just noticed the Dukes has been pulled for awhile replaced by two more episodes of Bonanza, which I watch along with Gunsmoke.
But not for long. As I posted on another thread TVland is changing it’s entire format and demo.
TV Land had , at one time, a great lineup of TV dramas and such that they ditched and I haven’t watched them in years.
Same with the A&E Channel. When they first started they had a great lineup of British TV shows and other things that made them stand out. I rarely even watch them any longer as they have become irrelevant with their programming.
Still have ME TV and a couple of others that cater to older TV shows.
MeTV is the way to go. It is over-the-air and shows the kinds of TV shows that were TV Land’s bread and butter.
This is from the TV Land website announcement of their program changes:
“The majority of our audience in prime time and weekends are now Gen Xers vibrant, working adults who grew up on MTV and edgier shows. They demand and deserve a brand that is more connected to where they are today. They are layered and complicated, and their idea of escape is to lean in and go deep. We are a new TV Land for this new audience.
In other words, they are saying that all the rest of us non-Gen Xers are a bunch of ignorant old farts who no longer count. Maybe we should just go out and shoot ourselves.
Maybe my two ideas for TV Land shows will be picked up.../s
