Franklin Graham’s word is respected worldwide, through his work with Samaritan’s Purse and the organization his father founded, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and now he’s begun warning America of God’s looming judgment. Because of the nation’s adoption, through its Supreme Court, of mandatory recognition of same-sex marriage across the states.

I'd argue that judgment has been coming at least since the nation’s adoption, through its Supreme Court, of legalized abortion:

I am not saying that abortions are right. I am saying that the practice of abortion as such is not God's primary focus of concern. It is the practice of legalized abortions that is the focus of God's concern and wrath. When abortion is legalized, this testifies to the depraved moral condition of the community. It is the moral condition of the community that concerns God, not the fact that this or that physician is practicing abortions. God can bring judgment in eternity, and will, against those who practice abortion and against the mothers who authorize it. Abortion is a crime in God's eyes. But the focus of God's concern is not with stopping the abortions by his representatives' individual actions. The focus of God's concern is to legislate against abortion and then to have the representative ordained agents, that is, the civil magistrates, take public action against the abortion. God's judicial focus, in other words, is corporate and judicial. This is the focus of God's concern in the question of abortion.

That was well-said, and the exact same can be said of the official recognition, by the nation through our representatives and the members of the court which they approved, that this official recognition of sodomites is what brings God’s judgement upon the US as a nation, rather than what was an individual sin before, though one increasingly “tolerated” (celebrated, promoted) by society. This nation got the official recognition which society had already sanctioned, including by so-called Christian leaders, and this official recognition is what is going to bring God’s judgement and the removal of His protection and blessing of the US as a formerly Christian-founded and based nation, upon the US. I believe that this was the last straw, considering that God considers such recognition of this sin to be a kind of Rubicon, triggering that judgement.
