but what choice is there if we can’t get the GOP to join our cause?

I know.....but you have to admit that a third party would only take us out of power for decades or longer assuming the Demorats refuse to allow their party to fragmnent as the GOP is currently. I think it's likely that they would hold it together, unless the GOP was able to win successive elections and keep the WH for 3 or more terms..and this won't happen with a viable third party.

The old dogs in the GOP have always ignored conservatives, knowing that they have no other place to go. Reagan had to fight through that and it was not easy, so what we see today is really nothing new.

It's all about the money....It always has been and we just can't shake loose of this crony capitalism so it goes on and on...

Corporations are scared to death, and have linked arms with government as a necessary evil. They are pouring money into groups that represent their interests with the GOP and the GOP is taking their needs and desires as a priority to tap those resources.

That's why we are ignored and shoved to the sidelines. And this is what has to be changed.

We have never used anti-corporate tactics politically. We need to reconsider this in light of fast track and immigration. We need to put a different saddle on the Elephant in these two issues, trade and immigration, because if we don't name and shame them, this stuff will continue to grow stronger.

If the Dems remained unified, then you could have a point. I’m not convinced they would.

Traditionally we have feared the third party thinking it would split the Conservative vote and usher in the Democrats over and over.

I don’t think that has to hold true.

I agree with most of your comments.

I’m not sure exactly how scared corporations are. I think it’s more then exploiting for political gain, but there could be more of a component along the lines of what you mention in there.
