Some Episcopal churches in Africa are trying to break away from the official body because of this issue. Of course there are some places in Africa where they are trying to apply the death penalty to gay sex practitioners, and want to send people to jail for 10 years for not reporting them, even a family member. Sounds kind of Nazi/Sharia to me.

The Very Rev. Jose Luis Mendoza-Barahona of Honduras gave an impassioned speech, saying the new church law 'goes against the Bible' and would create a chasm in the church.

“The fight has not ended, it’s starting,” he said. “Those of us in the church who are 'loyal followers of Christ are going to remain firm in NOT recognizing what happened today.”
